How it came together
This mural was dreamt up by a poetry collective named The Blackgirl Alchemists, who are led by Dr. Nia Nunn, who established the program. With funding from the Community Justice Center, the mural was painted on the side of the Tompkins County Historical Society building. Terrance was invited to collaborate with the students to realize their vision of community healing and justice.
From blighted to a work of art and healing.
